How to delete a trailer in Omnitracs XRS

Admin users are able to delete a trailer from the Manage Trailers window. Note that doing so makes the trailer unavailable for historical reporting. Deleting a Trailer flags the Trailer as able to be deleted in the database, but it does not actually delete the record in order to protect referential integrity with historical data. Once deleted, the trailer will not appear in any reports.

Procedure

  1. From the Admin menu, select Trailers. The Manage Trailers window opens.
  2. From the Actions column, select the Delete icon  next to the trailer you want to delete. A message appears warning you that deleting a trailer removes it from historical reporting.


     
  3.  Select Yes. A message appears telling you that the trailer was deleted successfully.


     
  4. Select OK to return to the Manage Trailers window. The deleted trailer no longer appears in the table.
