How to edit a vehicle in Omnitracs XRS
You can make changes to vehicle profile data in the Edit Vehicle window. See the attached Vehicle Field Definitions for more detail on the fields in the window.
If you manually enter a VIN number into the VIN field in the Edit Vehicle window, make sure the VIN number is accurate. Invalid VIN numbers will lead to eRODS file validation issues when eRODS files are transferred to the FMCSA. For users in Mixed Mode and ELD Mode companies, the system will check the VIN for the correct format and display a warning message if there are errors.Procedure
To edit a vehicle:
- From the Admin menu, select Vehicles. The Manage Vehicles window opens.
- Select the Edit icon
adjacent to the Vehicle ID of the vehicle you need to edit.
- Select the tab that contains the information you need to edit.
- Make changes to the fields as needed. See attached Vehicle Field Definitions for detailed information about each field.
- For General Information: Make the change and select Save.
- For Vehicle Groups: Click the Select button to choose Resource Groups and select Save.
- For Advanced: Make the changes and select Save.
- For Camera: Add, edit, or delete a camera, and select Save.
- Select the Save button to save the changes and return to the Manage Vehicles window.
