How to move a trailer in Omnitracs XRS

Administrators may need to move trailers to different organizations within the company. When a trailer is moved, the trailer's historical record is still maintained. A trailer move may be restricted if the target organization does not have sufficient Trailer subscription seats. Contact Omnitracs Billing to accommodate more subscription seats.

Procedure

  1. From the Admin menu, select Trailer. The Manage Trailers window opens.
  2. Select the Move icon  next to the trailer you want to move. The Select Organization window opens.


     
  3. Choose the trailer’s new organization and select OK. A message appears saying, “Historical records will be moved to the new organization. Are you sure you want to move trailer [name]?”


     
  4.  Select OK. A validation message confirms that the trailer was successfully moved.


     
  5. Select OK to return to the Manage Trailers window and review the changes.
