How to uninstall a vehicle from Omnitracs XRS

"Uninstalling a vehicle" actually means uninstalling a Relay from a truck so that the truck is no longer recognized by Omnitracs XRS through that Relay. The truck may have been decommissioned and the Relay is needed elsewhere or the Relay may be defective and a new piece of hardware—with its own, unique TGT/Serial number—needs to be installed in the same vehicle.

Procedure

To uninstall a Relay from a vehicle:
  1. From the Admin menu, select Vehicles.

     

    The Manage Vehicles window opens.


     
  2. Select the Uninstall icon  next to the vehicle you want to uninstall.



    The system displays a message asking if you're sure you want to uninstall the Omnitracs XRS Relay.


     
  3. Select Yes. A confirmation message tells you the vehicle was successfully uninstalled.


     
  4. Select OK. The Relay is no longer associated to the vehicle.
